We were relocating from California to the Phoenix area, and needed help buying a home. Having grown up in Mesa, I was familiar with the area, and received numerous recommendations for realtors from local friends/family. But we chose Michele Keith based largely on an excellent initial conversation – she’s personable, energetic, and knowledgeable – as well as the excellent resources she has assembled on her web sites (neighborhoods, past sales, active listings, floor plans, etc.) – she’s very organized!
We did some earlier reconnaissance ourselves, and had narrowed down our search to East Mesa and North Scottsdale. Michele created a custom online portal for us that listed homes in these areas that matched our criteria. She also recommended a smaller group of homes that she thought might be a good fit. After touring homes, we could log our thoughts on each home, and either put it in a favorites list or remove it. This really helped us narrow down a long list of homes to just a few for serious consideration.
When we were ready to make an offer, Michele was very helpful in reviewing the relevant comps, as well as the current market conditions in the neighborhood we had selected. This was very important for us, having just sold our previous home in California. Armed with good comp data we could make an aggressive offer with confidence.
We had a concern about the square footage of the home, and Michele presented this concern to the listing agent and sellers, and helped determine how we should structure this concern in our offer. She’s not afraid to address sensitive issues, and there’s a lot of back-and-forth with agents on the other side that you won’t see. We felt comfortable knowing that we had Michele on our side.
Michele is just as good after a deal is reached, coordinating appraisers, inspectors, repair specialists, title companies, utilities, previous owner information, etc.
In summary, our home buying experience working with Michele Keith was excellent. I would recommend her highly to anyone buying a home in the Mesa or Scottsdale areas
